Now I own the first release of San Andreas (M rated NTSC U/C) I have got alittle obsessed with researching beta San Andreas, for a example of the beta look here You'll notice things like engine sounds when your car is damaged, different walking animations etc etc. I know it hasn't been leaked, but I do know there is a Promotional copy (unless this video is amazingly edited) see below I can't post 2 video links on one post, He also has the promo soundtrack so all seems legit. On another forum, someone said there was a press release, so I assume it's somewhere. (see video below can't post 2 videos on 1 link) Originally the game was suppose to be on 2 DVD's so you can imagine just how much content got cut. The mobile edition has beta shaders or something along those lines. Does anyone have any other info on the Beta? or know someone with the Promo copy that could confirm any differences?
I can 99% guarantee you that the disc in your 2nd post is the same as final retail, as I own a fair few ps2 promos. these are just given to press pre-release, and are not betas of any kind. the gtasa beta will look more like a writeable dvdr
I haven't seen a gta san andreas prototype not even gta 3 though only a few samples gta 1 from ps1, rockstar is a very very strict company soo I don't think they are going to release press beta material or else.
Someone on another forum stated there was a press cd with the beta, and apparently it was shown at a developers conference (this is just what I read)
Oh wow, I'd love to get my hands on that. Surprised it wasn't destroyed by R*. They'd probably C&D anything major leaking, though.
