One choice is no choice. I would suggest if you are making a large purchase, you fax a "bid request" to several resellers like betson, etc. You might get a better price.

If you can put up with the hideous gouging I'm sure they'll be fine. I've (eventually) found everything they had that I wanted for much cheaper elsewhere, however.

Stone: I'm interested where you got your ST-V Silvergun, by the way. This isn't to say I wouldn't buy yours, but that depends on my cash reserves atm.

I put the set together as seperate eBay purchases - PCB+Decathlete then Winter Heat, Radiant Silvergun and Die Hard Arcade as individual auctions.

[edit: oh, sorry, you were just interested in Silvergun :) Got it off eBay a couple of years ago when they were slightly more common]

Heh well im planning on getting an entire arcade unit from them. All total its gonna come to 2500 + 1500 shipping hahah. The thing does weigh 750lbs though, so I can understand that. I dont really see anywhere else having the one im looking for and I can bite the bullet and get it.

Assembler, you wouldnt have any other URLS besides that one would you? I've never gotten into the arcade collecting scene but my guess is after I get this one Im gonna be hooked.

Plus I get a giant crate out of the deal..I mean how cool is that. I can show people the arcade and then say "Hey, wanna see something equally as cool?" and then Ill walk inside a giant crate thats near it and say "Im in a giant crate!"

Ack. $4000! You're getting hosed! I can only assume that you're after some crazy Japanese cabinet...I'm gonna guess Atomiswave...or maybe just one of those ludicriously large cabinets with the giganto screen and the control pedestal a few feet back. I'd like to hear what you're getting, as I think you could probably find something comparable in the US for a lot cheaper.

I'll dig up some links. You really should wait, unless it's some really hard to get item. If you have a proper business, go to the arcade site for the company that makes the board, and request a list of distributors.

As to Gun Survivor 2, is it just a conversion of the first game? The local place has one of them for sale.

No Assembler, its a custom game based off Code Veronica done in First Person View. They ported it to PS2 but it was only released in Japan and PAL territories. Id like to have the arcade itself because well lets face it, nothing beats the arcade :). Namco and Capcom teamed up to make it.

You are talking about this game right? Pretty neat game. You need to move the guns around to move the characters and aim.

I think one of the arcades around here sold off a bunch of their games, this one being one of them. I was going vist the distributor they sold them to for a game so I will have a look out to see if they still have it.

The game is actually really awful, Id suggest playing on the PS2 just to see what I mean. Theres no voice acting in it, its all text and the way the combat system/ movment system is set up is really akward.

Yeah, with the blue uzis, I wasn't aware there was a sequel to it for the arcade.

I don't know about their pricing for it, but a local distributor here has it on their list of Namco games:

    http://www.weinerd.com/video-gunsurvivor2.htm

You might want to give them a call or drive over there depending on where in PA you are. At least the shipping would be a lot cheaper. Hell, you could rent a truck and pick it up yourself if they actually have one there.

I plan on getting a machine from them in about a month, but I haven't had a chance to look in their warehouse yet.

Just so you know, I'm happily married...

Heh, did they tell you a price for it? Most of the gun games that I have seen listed on their website have had pretty decent prices, especially considering that they are a professional distributor. Let me know how their warehouse looks if you get a chance to look around.
