So I signed up for the forums there because they've licensed Shin Megami Tensei Online and I'm a little worried about how they're gonna translate it. I figured that since I have an account there now, I might as well try some of the games they have...after all, I get bombarded by ads for them on TVTropes.org; why not actually try them instead of just spitting bile? The question I have is, however, which game am I going to least regret downloading and trying out? Anyone have any firsthand experience? I tried that new GoldSlam tennis game of theirs...didn't really care for it. As for MMORPGs, I quit FFXI because (after about four years) I finally realized it took forever to get anything done, and I haven't touched Puzzle Pirates recently because I don't want to get stuck doing Carpentry again. Gimme Sailing, gimme Bilging, hell, I'll even learn to get good at Gunnery, but god...don't make me do Carpentry. It's not that I'm bad at it (I'm actually pretty damn good), but it's by far the most repetitive and annoying thing the game has to offer. What I'm trying to say is this: I want something I can pick up and play with minimal grinding, less party negotiating and more action, and above all, something that will run smoothly on my three-year-old laptop with its crappy sound card. (And if there are any non-MMORPGs anyone can really recommend, I'm all ears.)
