I plan to make an PSU mod by using 12V DC switching power and DC-DC conversion module for 5V and 3.3V output. But I don't know the detailed rated current for 3.3V/5V/12V output. Any one has the tech detail or test result for that? Thank you!
That info is buried deep somewhere in the gdemu/ODE thread(s). From memory, 1A on both is fine. I tried to power up the DC using Dc-Dc boost rated for 1A and it didn't work after a while (booster overheated and it rebooted), although it might have been 1A input rather than output. Pretty much any Pico PSU is the si.est way to go. The DC, including the original gdrom is rated 30 Watts or so IIRC.
Sorry I found I just missed my own topic. Really thanks for this info,FamilyGuy.Seem I should drop the idea of using cheap low power driven DC-DC board. And I plan to use current meter to get the real peak value. If I got it,I will be back post it here. =D
