How much is shipping to Spain?

I get more questions about shipping prices to Spain than all other countries in the world combined, and then some.

I was checking out guitars and noticed two Sellers who singled out Spain in their shipping description. For example: North America ($120), Europe ($140), Spain ($140), Asia ($80). I thought maybe I was egzagerating things in my mind but after seeing that I'm wondering if it's just some odd Spanish thing? It's like somehow their entire national experience with eBay has created a group of people who don't make a move without first sending a question about shipping prices.

I think you have the answer right there. There's a widespread habit of overcharging buyers here through the shipping costs (for example, I've seen users that charge around 20€ to ship a standard PS2 game inside Spain, when the true price is around 4-6€) to avoid some eBay fees.

I noticed that also. There was actually one on Killer-cabs where someone was selling a huge Arcade Cabinet in Canada and one of the first questions was 'how much would shipping be to Spain'. Interesting to see someone else had noticed it. See it a lot on eBay.

So you're saying that Sellers in Spain have a habit of overcharging? Interesting.

But what I don't get is that my prices are already listed in the auction. Granted you're always going to have those that don't check or just don't read, but I found it a bit odd that a vast majority of questions come from one country, probably 80%.

Shipping to spain isn't really expensive, I buy everything of Japan. Sending a game costs around 5€ (for the user, I mean, AIRMAIL), sending a system around 40€ (EMS), but shipping from Spain to outside is ungodly expensive. Actually, it's cheaper shipping a registered parcel from UK to Spain than sending a parcel INSIDE Spain. Fucked up stuff.

And what Crescent says is right. I even saw once a PAL Secret of Evermore I think, for 5€ and 95€ of shipping costs... Just for saving maybe 1 or 2 euros of fees. And there are a lot of guys like Racaal etc who just don't even know what are gonna do to you. I do never buy things to Spain unless it's on a forum or something (ej EOL or Mundo). I just don't trust eBay Spain sellers (except AES330 ;D).

I made my last post 1 hour ago...and since then I got another email from a Buyer from Spain asking me the shipping price on one of my items. It really is insane.

Same story here. Basically anything of value that I have sold has had a question about shipping to Spain. I guess they just have a large population of paranoid ebay users.
