Hi all, my third party wiimote works great, except for the nunchuck's analog stick. It wore out incredibly fast. So I soldered in one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111355294683?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT This worked out great. Except for one part: The metal part you slide the plastic analogue stick on is a lot thinner than the hole on all plastic analogue sticks I have. See this image: http://i.imgur.com/c7iJNkJ.png Does anyone know where I can find an analogue stick that fits the metal part, or how to modify a plastic stick to work with my new potentiometer?
Not the response you're after, but nunchucks are like $3. Sure you could find one at EB preowned. than messing around with it.
I considered it, but I live in Europe, and sadly my country does not have any places where nunchucks are that cheap. I'd rather put in an hour of work to get my current hardware working perfectly. I'm very close!
Oh sorry about that, I thought you were from the UK considering the link. Any replacement part should just be a direct swap. If the shaft is smaller than the stick, then it should fit on. It might take quite a bit of force. When replacing my Gamecube sticks, I used a friend's crappy knock off controller stick grip (the grips were $8, and knock off controller was $6). I thought it was a smaller than the shaft, but just need a good amount of force.
I would just epoxy it,get some two part clay type epoxy. You can also use rolled paper or wood shims. Wood would self tighten, but care not to split the plastic.
Well, if the main man himself advises it, it must be true! I got some of the epoxy you mentioned, and made this: http://i.imgur.com/cZCGUhw.jpg At the moment, it looks like what Stuart Little would use once he comes out of the closet. I'll file it down to make it fit. Thanks for the tip!
