It's a bit hard nowadays to find any reliable information on modifications to older systems, especially from 20 years ago or so.

I have been trying to look into modifying a PS1, but it's pretty difficult to find any reliable information nowadays on if anyone even manufacturers modchips for that system still. And if they do, which ones are any good. There are all sorts of random chips all over the place nowadays, but it's difficult to find reliable information on them.

It's even harder to find information on if there are any people left who still perform installation services anymore, are there any good/reliable places who will still mod a PS1 anymore? I have poor soldering skills.

Yes, I have seen that site, it doesn't seem to offer too much info specifically on choosing a chip though, and especially where I can reliably buy one. Sounds like Mayumi v4 may be the way to go, but I am not sure where to get a real one, or how to get it installed.

There's several installers around here, or you could probably get a pre-modded system off eBay should you choose to go that way. Would help if you posted where you live to find someone more local. As for "legit" chips, the code is all over the internet, it's not like there is exactly "clones" like there are with some other consoles. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a "real" one.

You have also already been told that I sell them and ship worldwide. Not sure what else you want to know.
