I was emailed a list of Sega games. I assumed they were for the Genesis but that doesn't make sense. I searched ebay with very little success. Some of them appearing as Arcades, pinball, sg1000 etc. They might not all be for the same system. He just said they were sega games. >1. - Ali Baba and 40 Thieves - 1982 - Sega Z80 Based Hardware >2. - Apollo 13 Pinball - 1996 - Sega Prototype Hardware >3. - Batman Forever - Acclaim - 1996 - Sega ST-V Hardware >4. - Bingo Party Special - 2000 - Sega Medal Hardware >5. - Champion Boxing - 1984 - Sega Z80 Based Hardware >6. - Congo Bongo - 1983 - Sega Zaxxon Hardware >7. - Dead or Alive 2 Millennium - Tecmo - 2000 - Sega Naomi Hardware >8. - F1 World Grand Prix - Visco - 1998 - Sega Naomi Hardware >9. - Heavy Weight Champ - 1988 - Sega System 16B Hardware Heavyweight Champ - 197? - Sega Discrete Logic Hardware >10. If so does anyone know value? By the sounds of it I can pick them up cheap but just in case. Are any of them rare? I have no knowledge at all about pinball or arcades. www.system16.com has most of these listed as arcade machines. I can't seem to find a few of them. This could turn out to be really cool. Chances are he knows what these are worth if they are all arcade machines. But you never know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
That's all arcade hardware as far as I can tell. You could try the www.klov.com message boards for some more help. By the looks of some of them it looks like you made a real find.
I agree the KLOV boards would be your best bet. Are these full machines or just the loose game PCBs/drives? Many of the titles look common, but if they are proto (one is listed as such) or Beta's especially if they have stuff not in the final versions they could be a bit more valuable. ^_^_^
I was only emailed the list. I emailed him back but haven't recieed a response yet. I would assume they are loose game PCBs/drives because he never said they were full machines. He only said they were sega games. I added the second part because because I think that is what they are. I figured the added info might help determine wether any are rare.
There are some classics there such as ninja princess though I'm not sure how rare those are. Do pick up the naomi stuff if you can get it cheap, that doa2 millenium for example can be bought $15-20 if not less. If you can get complete system x hardware I'd go for that as well, but those systems are quite bulky (allthough easily stackable) and requiers some adapters to fit into your standard jamma cabinet. I'd keep away from any driving games as those will most likely just collect dust not to mention that there are alot of subboards for those.
>3. - Batman Forever - Acclaim - 1996 - Sega ST-V Hardware Definitely worth getting. It's one of the more adventurous STV kits and contains quite a lot of extra hardware. The game's a steaming pile or arse but they didn't make (or sell!) very many at all, so it's probably worth it from the collecting aspect. Failing that I might have it off you Stone
A lot of extra hardware? Pray elaborate All I heard is that it's not on cart, but rather a sub-board that fits into the ST-V's expansion slots.
Not really; there's an extra sound board which attaches to the 4 SCSI ports on the motherboard, and an enormous cart (about 2-3 times as big as a normal one). The cart has a metal bracket on the back, and you have to remove the easily-snappable plastic bracket which is normally on the motherboard to fit it, then the cart screws into the screwholes from that bracket. Nearly spent $100 on one from eBay once, then the seller pulled it... Stone
There was an excellent one with the auction, I should have saved it There's a coupla of pics on System16: http://www.system16.com/sega/boards/batmansnd.jpg http://www.system16.com/sega/others/batman1.jpg but it's not very clear. Match those with the ones from The Guru's pages here: http://www.mameworld.net/gurudumps/shopraid/batman_forever_pcb.jpg to get a better idea Should have offered the guy more money... Stone
