    Hi,

just wondering if somebody here actually owned one of those elusive units. This is what I'm talking about:

    gbkiss.jpg

Basically, this is supposedly a "modem" (or that was how it was marketed anyway) that connects to a PC via parallel port. There you'd have some software running to either acquire games from a Hudson website or use a the games that were packaged with the modem. The modem itself would send data to the actual game inside the Gameboy via the GB Kiss feature implemented in choice Hudson games.

I have failed to acquire one while being in Japan, nothing online for like the last years where I have been on and off browsing :( Not even photographs that weren't taken with a hole puncher if you catch my drift :(
Would really appreciate it if somebody could post a picture that had more than 100 blurry pixels :)

If somebody would happen to know where to acquire one of those units, that'd be fantastic, too, of course :)

    Thanks

Wow, cool thing you found that picture :) Didn't show up in any google search for me. Unfortunately, that particular one was auctioned off :(

Interestingly GB Kiss games use black cartridges. Even if they do not support the GBC.

The material is different than regular cartridges. It's so that IR light passes through the plastic.
