I'm still expecting a package from them after having waited two weeks. What happened is I'm having something shipped from China with EMS. I had the guy use EMS once before and it got here within 3 days, very fast. So though it may cost a bit extra, I hate waiting around for packages forever so I decided to use it again. What a mistake First my package is sent out and I get the tracking number. Well I watched the tracking number everyday and it was going all over China, anywhere but over here. Finally it was sent back to the guy who sent it, probably after one whole week. He mails me and tells me that apparently there was contraband on the plane it was meant to shipped out on, which made it get sent back. So he sends it out again. At this point I'm already pissed. This is EMS, you pay EXTRA for it to get here fast, not wait around forever and then have it sent back to the sender. Right there I knew already that I wasted my $20 for shipping to get it here sooner. Normally I would wait 7 days and regular airmail gets it here just fine. I should have gone with that :crying: Anyway the package is sent out again, and I get a new tracking number. Now here I am day 6, and still nothing at all. The tracking shows it was despatched, and that's it, nothing else is happening to it these past 6 days. To make matters worst, I then get a mail from the sender telling me he gave me THE WRONG TRACKING NUMBER :banghead: I'm still waiting for the right one, which he's probably not going to get around to finding for me anytime soon. Either way I'm still watching this other persons package now, and it's not going ANYWHERE. I would complain that I have bad luck here, since my package keeps getting stalled. But I have a tracking number for someone elses package and it's exactly like mine, it still hasn't reached its destination after all this time, when EMS is supposed to be much quicker than that, as I know my previous experience. So why is it taking so long? Is anyone else getting anything from EMS and having to wait an eternity? I really regret wasting the extra money for this supposed "express mailing service."
Most mail tracking systems can track any registered post or parcel post but it won't tell you if it is EMS, Airmail, SAL or surface. I did send someone a surface package and the parcel number even entered into a EMS tracking box would tell me that the parcel had been dispatched from Japan and that's where it ended... It's also Christmas which will slow things down a little.
I did consider it might be due to the time of season. Definitely won't bother with EMS from here on if that's the main cause. Still feel ripped off by $20
Just got another email, the package apparently yet again was sent back! This time it didn't pass a security check. I was told it could possibly because one game might have a battery inside? And yet the last package I got had a game with a battery inside. I'm never EVER using EMS again. What kind of horrible service is this :/
The guy could just be stringing you along... Giving you the tracking of someone else? Hmm... EMS is normally a great service, if it was sent via another service then the package might have disappeared and you would have had more problems...
Yeah. It's x-mas, so China is shipping out a ton of stuff. Things are bound to get tied up. At least you can track the item and KNOW it's still in the seller's hand and he's still willing to help you get your item.
I've gotten, and still get 20 to 50+ cartriges (with battery) per EMS shipment from China from my Cousin and each time they arrive without issue and tracking works as expected. Given what is happening, it sounds like your friend isn't very organized. If you print out your labels, write clearly, declare everything properly, etc, it should have no problems (or very little) getting out. Usually my items go to a depot in Shanghai or Shenzhen, then get shipped out from there.
Well, he's told me that regardless of this whole experience, if I choose to go Airmail he'll have to charge me again instead of taking the difference out of what I paid already. I have no money as it is atm thanks to this taking forever(it's pretty expensive stuff) so I just had to let him try it through EMS again. He said he's repackaged everything in case of the box somehow sending of red flags to them(since it's been rejected twice now), and he believes this was just a coincidence that's happened two times....ya, I don't know about that I just hope this time it actually comes through. And I get the right tracking number maybe, if that's at all possible -_-
Heh, I hope he isn't stringing you along for an easy buck. I mean, since when is a battery a security risk? China makes most of the batteries we use today!
I had an EMS parcel go missing a few weeks back or even longer. The post office finally found it and sent it back to me. Now I've got to resend everything again. A right pain in the arse. Saying that, EMS is a very good service. Out of the 100's of parcels I send a year only 5 or so take forever or worst case, never arrive.
Looks like that other guy's package that I accidently got the tracking for finally made it to US customs today. So I guess the season really is to blame for shipping being so damn slow. Maybe that explains also why my new tracking info doesn't come up on the EMS tracking info site, since they're taking forever to process anything now. Ugh, I hate waiting. It's always a pain.
