I was waiting for it to finaly come to Canada so anxiously and now that it's here, I have 960 points and nothing worth spending them on. I check the site to see if they've added new items every couple of weeks, but there never are. Where are the Nintendo points or classic games offered in Europe? Or the Link and Epona statue offered in Japan? Instead we get crap like Wiimote holders and DS game cases.

What do you guys think? Anyone cashed in their points yet?

Didn't have enough to even get anything decent really. I wouldn't hold your breath for anything new due to the economy the way it is. Aren't you able to get the exclusive game and watch collection for ds?

It's better than Europe's setup, but not as cool as the one offered in Japan.
I like that we are offered some of the Japanese items, though..

It could be worse. It's "good" to me as it is right now, but it could be better too.

Nope not a club nintendo japan item it's a club nintendo usa item & to be honest it looks like cheap tacky shit that statue.

At the end of the day nintendo is giving you extra stuff for free, not really in much of a position to complain, at least you don't get nothing but crap screensavers & ringtones like the poor sods in europe.

Currently got 800+ sat in my japanese account tempted by the star ten billion puzzle & maybe another ds pouch but im holding out in case they update the catalogue, this summer.

Yea, I could get the game and watch collection, but are those handheld Tiger games really worth all those hard earned points? Not to me.

Yeah in Europe it used to be better as well. You would get 250 points for each game, no matter how much it cost. Consoles and handhelds were more, sometimes 500 sometimes 400.

But the biggest difference is that you don't get points anymore for logins... In Europe you would get 5 points for each day you logged in.

That's roughly 1800 points for a year which is good enough to get something decent.

And what do they offer now? Mario Tennis Advance Tour for 5000 points :banghead:

The golden statue with Link and Epona is impossible to get. Even if you buy every game that currently offers points you would still probably not have enough points. Think about it: 15000/200 = 75 games!!!! :eek:h:

I haven't even bothered. I'm a fairly regular DS game buyer but not a Wii owner, and even if I registered everything I have that's points-eligible I don't think I'd have enough for any of the (lame) prizes. AND to add insult to injury, your points have an expiration date so you can't even save up.

I would consider working at gamestop for a week just to steal all the points sheets out of the used games.

I did something similar. When GTA IV came out they all had One-Month Xbox Live cards I grabbed a ton from my store and even went to another store close by and grabbed more. Also, I went down to California, saw a store there and grabbed more. I ended up with about 30 One-Months. I sold some but mostly gave them to friends.
