I signed up a month or three ago alansbrown What a waste of space You have to either be glued to a keyboard or via your phone/pda And to be honest, who wants to know if you have just wiped your arse, or brushed your teeth IMHO I can see it failing in a while as the novely will wear off. Only worth following celebs if you are sad and then that will wear off
It's been around for awhile...I don't think it's going anywhere. There are practical and useful uses for it besides just updating what your eating and whatnot, for instance Major Nelson the Xbox dude would put up updates when Xbox Live was having trouble and stuff like that, so it does have some legitamate uses. I'm really boring so I don't use it. =(
It's useful for marketing. I use keywords to find out how many people have mentioned my iPhone apps and then reply to them and retweet them elsewhere. If I find a celebrity who has bought one then I thank them and mention the app name again, it greatly increases the awareness of the app and I've seen my sales shoot up by quite a few units by doing this. Without twitter I think my income would be considerably less.
