As you might have heard, I'll be moving from Australia to Japan, which means I'll FINALLY be able to take part in airsoft (airsoft is illegal in Australia for some stupid reason). I'm looking forward to playing a few "survival games" (as I seem to recall is what the Japanese call games of airsoft) but I think what I'm most looking forward to is collecting the taggers themselves! Is anyone familiar with airsoft in Japan? I know there's a bunch of bricks and mortar stores that sell airsoft stuff, but I suspect it will be cheaper to buy online. Does anyone know of any good online Japanese airsoft stores with good prices? Or any that ship to Japan? Regarding the taggers, I have a few models on my wishlist (mostly just the FN-P90!) but I'm looking for whichever company makes the most accurate rendition. Do you guys have any suggestions? I hear that Tokyo-Marui make all their taggers out of plastic only, which would be fine for guns that are made of plastic in reality, but for ones that use wood or metal, I'd want an airsoft tagger that's also made of the same material.
I've been to airsoft once or twice, but I don't own any guns apart from a Marui spring Walther P38 and some MP5 looking thing that a friend gave to me before he left the country. I recommend the arena in Chiba, it's a dark and cover-filled warehouse that looks and feels like an actual battlefield. I can't remember the actual name of the place, but if you're really interested, I can find out. EDIT: Depending on where you live, airsoft guns can be easy and cheap to acquire. I know for a fact that Donkihote in Roppongi has a pretty nice selection that isn't too expensive.
I've found that Echigoya (I got a TM P90 from them) in Akiba has a good range and good prices on airsoft. Amazon too. My local Donki Hote had a small selection of airsoft in their RC cars section, but since remodeling, they now have a proper asle. Most of it is are the cheap "boys" versions though, and the few 18+ ones don't seem much cheaper. Wouldn't mind finding a local club or something close to me, no idea where to start though!
