Recently discovered this game. Its like Guitar Hero, but you plug in a real guitar and play the songs for real. Been playing guitar practically my whole life so have been enjoying the hell out of it. There is also a community of people making custom DLC songs for this game, here is a video of the latest one ive been working on. If anyone here plays it and is interested in the custom DLC for this game, ill post a link to the site where all the customs are posted I dont know how I never heard of this game until a couple weeks ago..... but im glad i found it, lol.
I bought this about 6-7 months ago and found it a little frustrating. Granted I was a beginner but it seemed to go from easy to insane with no real in-between. The loading times on the 360 were horrible as well even after install. I spent a fortune on DLC packs too!
I can see how it would be frustrating for a beginner, even with the dynamic difficulty, sometime the difference between one mastery notch on some riffs can be insane, lol. I recently bought my daughter her first guitar because she has had an interest in learning after watching me play all the time, and she has been using the game as a kind of learning tool... and quite successfully, i might add. This game blows the doors off of guitar hero, imo, for that reason alone, it actually can teach how to play an instrument, along with being a fun game.
I'll admit it did make me play better but ultimately it was just too much of a hassle to get it all up and going. Hopefully they've sold enough copies to make a better sequel.
