Was Saint Seiya only shown outside of Japan in Portugese? I think its soon comming to America. If you asked someone Japanese about it they'd probably be confused.

Saint Seiya was also shown in France. I had one of those Saint Seiya models a while ago. I think it was bandai or Tomy who produced them. They come in a small box packed with two chalky type sweets. It was well over a year ago when I bought one so I guess they'll be very hard to find these days unless they have been re-released.

Here in Brasil Saint Seiya was really famous. I think it was even more famous than Dragon Ball Z
I still have 2 or 3 models made by Bandai that I bought when the series was first aired here (around 10 years ago)

I think it was Knights of the Zodiac in the US as well, but it did not get too popular.

been out in france, spain, all latin america, italy and america... but it wasnt popular in america because it was edited like shait, they change bgm to heavy metal and change the whole story... like an example can be : a guy named shiriu went to fix hes cloth with some mu guy and he originally tells him that he has to give a lot of blood and that he might die in order to fix the cloth's and in the american version he sais that he has to give hes magical powers and he wont be able to be a knight again. also, in the japanese, portuguese, mexican, spanish, italian versions you see blood coming out of people and arms and on the american is some green/purple stuff and in the scene i just talked about you see some weird purple shit with like sparcles.... so yeah... is fucked up. god job americans, you fucked another thing :smt023

Thats basically what happened with Dragonball and everything else. Lets face it, 90% of American parents are facists who censor every aspect of their child's life. Anyone intelligent here has to escape by becomming a part of some counter culture.

  10. Err, Eva-01, aren't you American as well?

    o/t

This in one of my favorite animations.
When it aired for the first time in Portugal it aired in japanese with portuguese subtitles.
The opening was cut but the animation was completly unedited.
I also got to see it in spanish and french, the french episodes were crap because of so many edited scenes :smt019

I still have some of the original figures from back then ->PIC

They are releasing lots of new Saint Seiya toys because of the new OVA's

BTW does anyone have a better picture of those toys being sold at that auction? They look awesome!

Your sleeping again... As he said "Nah i live in this uncool country, however im 100% Mexican".... Now stop those stalker tendencies and playing with visual route! :smt043

  18. Not stalker tendencies, just doing a bit of random checking - we've had problems off and on with people who aren't who they say they are.

I'm not sure where you got the 'however' from, but the quote as written led me to think that he was 100% Mexican, in the country where the term for the citizens plural is 'Mexicans', i.e. Mexico. I'm not sure it has anything to do with me sleeping or not...
