I'm about to test a rare Korean Famicom cartridge tomorrow. In case it turns out still functional, I'm gonna want to have it dumped ASAP, but I don't want to ship it overseas. Is there anyone located in Korea (preferably Seoul) with the equipment and expertise to dump Famicom games? Mapper might be unique, or a variant of #156.

I'm in Korea. This seems like something I'd be able to do, but I just don't have the proper equipment.

What's the best/fastest way to get the board for dumping?

Is this a prototype (socketed eproms etc) or rare retail?

More info will probably help anyone able to assist. If you just need some eproms dumping, possibly many more people that can assist vs needing something that will dump via the cart slot.

Oh, it's a rare retail cart, so yeah, it's gonna need a cartridge dumper. Going on the trip for testing now, so if it works, I'll be able to talk more about what it is specifically in a few hours.

If no one has the equipment locally, I might end up ordering a kazzo or something and get back at you for advice, Comboy.

So the game works, and it's Magic Kid GooGoo. If you're in Korea and can dump it, contact me NOW.

Sam, I think you're going to be very disappointed if you just try to dump it without some expert help. I recommend linking the owner to a guide on how to open Famicom carts and getting a picture of the board posted.

Yeah, I posted that before asking you about it on Twitter. The cart is in my care now so I could open it up, but I'll definitely contact you again tomorrow if no local dumping expert turns up by then.

To make sure this gets preserved properly, you might want to post on the No-Intro forums.
