I got a nice Mod Chip for my saturn - the only problem is that I don't have the skill to fit it.

    It's a 64 pin model 2 PAL saturn.

I'm hoping some one in the uk can solder this in for me. I can only really slip you a £5 and some cheap DC games. I will of course pay postage both ways. I'd really appreciate any help - I had to sell all my genuine games so I'm really desperate to get it in.

    Thanks

    Tony :)

If you get no luck here, you might try G-Force in Glasgow....by the time you pay postage/insurance + £5, it might be cheaper to let them do it....I've bought lots of chipped consoles from them before psx1, ps2, xbox....never got any chipped sega kit from them tho.......

Or even try the barras........(not tried them for chipping myself tho).....

Well i was lucky when i did mine (of course the chip eventually broke, but it did it on its own, not for solder reason) that it was a 32 pin, but have you tried doing the ab mod? In which you solder the blue wire on the chip itself where its marked b? Cause the solder to the power board is very easy to do.

I could do it, but the postage is expensive.

You might find it cheaper to find someone up there (a friend with an iron), or get a cheap iron from the local electronics store for about a tenner.

The mod is amazingly simple. The main part is....

    Unclip lead from CDROM

    Clip lead to Modchip

Attach Modchip where the lead was

Then solder 2 wires - 1 to power and another to the laser PCB.

p.s. Funkstar, is it you who runs insertgame? If so, still got those Brazilian Saturns? Are they for sale?
