  2. You forgot the part about the price being about twice what the original seller wanted.

The reason so many people are still upset about this, Paulo and anyone else, as we have a great right to be, is because the actions of the buyer not only treated everyone here with great disrespect and lied to the seller, but on a much more minor note pretty much ensured that some of us who had wanted to get our own GD-R were unable to afford the new prices as well. So yeah, there's a little animosity harbored by a few on the subject, and I really don't think anyone is at all out of line by being irritated with the whole thing. On a forum as reasonably tight-knit as this, there are little unspoken rules of etiquette, just like when dealing with real life people, and the whole thing with the GD-Rs was basically a big "Fuck you all!" to this forum. I think a bit of righteous indignation on the part of some of us isn't at all out of line.

Not to mention the fact that it was probably the last sealed spindle!

Still, it was his to do what he wanted with, just a shame he told us that he wanted to keep it sealed, then opened it up immediately.

It wasnt immediately tho was it? also when you just shell out hundreds of pounds on a bunch of cds and then your circumstances change then you go and see what you can do. IN this case he decided to sell these...

Im not happy about it. I would like a gd-r however im not prepared to buy one at that price. Yeah its annoying but thats it...

Last time I saw him he mentioned he was moving house - it is possible that he has moved and has not got an ISP set up yet for whatever reasons.

I did sell the Spindle under the assumption it was to be kept sealed, but I don't care that much as at the time I needed the money badly to pay off my debts!

As far as I know his original plan was to keep the spindle sealed - I had sold him a blank GD-R a few weeks previously so he could have burned his homebrew game onto that and wouldn't have needed to open the spindle. Apparently his circumstances changed after the purchase and being broke after just buying the spindle he opened it to sell some for a few quick bucks.

At the end of the day though once he bought it the spindle it was no longer mine - he had the legal right to do what he pleased with it :smt061

    yeah it was me...

i am still pissed off that dev stuff falls 90% of the times in hands that cannot use them, having them sitting all day long in a corner. And do not get me wrong,i fancy as well "cool stuff" but how much time will the coolness of such an item last?I mean, most of them get dev stuff, resell them after toying around and "discover" which switch does what, and finally useful stuff actually ends up making circles for stupid amounts of money without being actually used.Imagine if the various emu authors had these systems or even game coders.

flame me,i know you will.Say again that everyone sells whatever he wants and buys whatever he wants as long as he wants/has cash, but either way you cannot beat ignorance and stupidity.

    Re: ...

Erm most home coders cant afford to buy the items either way... Anyways even if they had these items it would be ILLEGAL for them to use it .... Also alot of people prefer not to use original DEV tools... so really thats not an argument.... You think you deserve an item more then the person who can pay for it because you **think** you can do something with it?

Erm isnt that the way things work...

I can see this is fitting to some of your posts...

    Re: ...

No my coment had nothing to do wit your abilities but more with the fact you seem to think ANY CODER deserves abit of DEV kit more then someone else who has more money to pay for it even if its just going to sit in their collection???

No one deserves anything more then anyone else. Its about who can pay for it. And the person who can does whatever they want...

  15. Oh for fuck's sake, grow the fuck up, this is almost beyond even you. You don't 'deserve' a dev system any more than anyone who just wants one for the collector's value, and you have absolutely no right to go off on people being stupid and ignorant just because YOU don't own their dev stuff.

This thread is now locked due to utter idiocy. Adam-James, my apologies for closing your For Sale thread, if you're still up for selling the GD-Rs, please feel free to create a new topic and we'll try to keep the bitching out of it.
