Anyone knows a place to buy *quality* smd/hole-thru capacitors?

    Hiya!

I am toying with the idea of doing recaps on my Roland gear in hopes of preventing the notorious 90s smd cap leakage failure...
The only thing that holds me back is the lack of a place to order and get quality capacitors. Locally all I can get is Lelon hole-thru caps. Virtually nothing else. I have used them in my console recaps and haven't had any problem so far, tbh it is not a big deal if a 20eur megadrive fails...

Obviously I can use eBay but no single seller stocks all the cap values I need, some stock no-name ones and also I have my reservations especially on smd caps if they are from the brand they claim to be... So adding several cap packages from several sellers I end up with a cost of 60-40% caps-shipping.
Also had a look on Digikey, huge selection and has everything I need but they have a 18eur shipping fee unless you order 65+ eur of stuff from them. If everything else fails I'll just order 65e from them, not going to pay 18e shipping LOL

Maybe someone here knows another online source? A shop that has quality Japanese caps from Sanyo/Rubycon/Nichicon/etc for example, is EU based and accepts small orders of 10-20 caps per value ...

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I am actually going to be recapping my PCE Duo, so I can order what you need at the same time (I need to spend £20 for free shipping anyways).

Then just + cost of shipping to you.

Send me a list of caps (with size/diameters too if you have it!)

And if so at what cost!? International shipping from the US is often a killer even in Canada, now imagine transatlantic!

    @ OP:
When you ask for quality caps, do you mean "won't leak soon" or "audiophile quality"? It's important as some electrically good caps can sound like shit, and most audio-grade caps, while also electrically good, are way too much expensive to be worth putting inside non-audio electronics. I ask since I think Roland makes audio stuff.

Digikey ships to Greece for +18eur added to your order. If you make a 65+ eur order then it's free.

Roland does indeed make audio stuff, but except the odd bipolar cap now and there I don't see anything special. Meaning that all caps in a mobo are the same model/make. 95% of them are Sanyo ones without any special markings or series codes.

edit: will search more on them, maybe finding service manuals...

Usually only caps that are used as filters (DC block mainly) affect the sound. It's perfectly possible there's only a couple on the board.
