Anyone looking for FM Towns stuff?

Discussion in 'Rare and Obscure Gaming' started by henmiparapara, Oct 11, 2004.

  1. Hi,

Since I am new I want to make sure of some stuff before I start to sell my stuff. I am curious of the values for

    FM TOWNS Ⅱ Fresh system
    FM-TOWNS UX20

I think both systems are non-working, but I havent had time to find out. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  3. Yes, I see that and you have helped me a lot...Now can you offer some words of value? I am a bit new at this and I stubled across these 2 systems recently.

FM Towns are slightly less valuable than Martys (why, I don't know.) Does FM Towns II have the same specs as Marty IIs? If so, I'd think it would be comparable in price. I'd say $200<>$300, but if its broken, probably less, probably not if you "as-is" it on eBay... I don't know what a FM-TOWNS UX20 is so I won't comment.

hey Hi_Ricky, are those two NEC Interface Units there in the picture? Would you happen to have a spare AC adapter for one you'd be willing to part with? ;-)

They are indeed, the sight of them abused and stuffed up like that bought a tear to my eye.

You can get an exact replacement at radioshack, same voltage, and they have an assortment of tips and one of them fit my unit.

Or you can switch the jack with a standard console one :)

I already found the right jack... now I need to find a PSU that gives out 9V and 2A (or was it 1700mA? Anyhow a MD adapter won't cut it)
