I've actually been in contact with him about Dee Dee Planet multiple times, but eventually he didn't respond anymore. Probably real-life issue's caught up with him, let's hope he resurfaces again...

It was the second guy who appeared on the forums with the working copy of Geist Force who claimed to know another former employee 'may have' had a copy. I don't think it was ever confirmed that he had it, remembering the posts. My guess is that he couldn't get it.

I'd say the best option we have of ever seeing Dee Dee Planet up and running is a GDRom (beta/press review) disc surfacing on Yahoo! Japan auctions. I can't see it surfacing anywhere else - although I'd love to be wrong. Saying that, has anyone ever spotted any interesting GDRom's on Yahoo! Japan? I can't think of any Japanese protos turning up (well, with the exception of the Rez beta, I suppose)

The guy in Japan who showed the first sega pluto prototype thought he might know of someone who might have it. I don't think this is something he followed up on after I asked him about it.

I also seem to remember some discussions with sega america employees - maybe Monkfish who provided Geist Force - who indicated that internally at sega in the US, they tested copies of Dee Dee Planet. So that would mean a copy could turn up in the US.

It would be interesting to get in touch with someone at SoA that could rip a Dee Dee Planet disc... I mean they have the GD-Rs in spindles on shelves... would anyone notice if some GD-R comes to an employee house for a couple days?

Someone within SoA with clearance to enter that room, won't jeopardize his or her job so that a bunch of enthousiast can play an unreleased game. So unfortunately the chance of the game leaking from within SoA is near impossible, however it's a matter of time that someone with a build outside the office surfaces and sells/trades it.

This thread is also related, and here Knuckles500 posted a link to some of SEGA of America's discs. Including Dee Dee Planet.

Hmm. You bumped a nine year old thread that hasn't been posted in for the past eight years.... just to post a link to a post on another forum that's four years old? If you're going to bump such an old thread, please make sure you're bringing something new to it.

I don't understand why you reported another thread from last year, saying it should be merged with this one... then posted here instead. It's no surprise that someone made a new thread when this one wasn't touched in several years! ;)

Logically it should be merged with this one. The fragmentation of one topic in to two (actually more) separate threads is a fragmentation of our common knowledge and makes things unnecessary complicated. The fact is that they're both about the same thing. How about I start a new thread about whatever topic each time it disappears from the first page? Sure make a new thread, that other thread is past due now - you can't eat that! Do you see my point? Honestly I've never understood why people complain about "old threads"... The contents of the link I posted is new to this site. :)
