https://www.filebox.com/ i was thinking of sharing some kind of "themed" videogames music compilation in passworded .rar files... anyone tried the service? 488GB for free users sounds GREAT... and their life time membership too good to be true...
I use 'www.dropboks.com' for sending tracks between I and my partner in music. It's very efficient for that, but I'm not sure how it compares or what else I'd do with it.
"Anonymous users are limited to 0 downloads per day, and regular users are limited to 0 downloads per day." Sounds handy. (EDIT: yes, I am aware this is a mistake.)
Some body give me a comparison to megaupload please, cause I am pretty fine with mega upload. So could some body gives me a comparison ?
Why bother with file share sites? Why not just pick up a cheap hosting package and dump what you want there. It works great for me. Case in point: and http://binarygrind.com/files/Zelda_The_Music_Of_My_Groin_OC_ReM ix.mp3 Hell I've got enough spare HD space and bandwidth I could possibly start my own Assembler only file share service.
Well mainly because of this: B*****, Robert 3*** Denton Circle West Jordan, Utah 84084 United States 801243**** If you don't care too much about your privacy it's fine, but if you do like me then i'd rather use something anonymous. BTW if you want me to remove the above I will, I filtered some details but it's useless as everybody can check this information. Always nice when somebody wants to sue you or just find you for the content they dont like or is copyrighted.
49$ for life access? i would pay 49 per year to get a decent hosting. also if you're planning to share something that might be bothersome, you wouldn't get your webpage closed.
I'll give you a big old touché on that one. For some people the details in a whois lookup might be a problem (you could always activate your registrar's private registration flag or fill it with junk data (that last one is an ICANN No-No though...) I personally don't have an issue with my data (except that my phone number and address haven't been updated in ages) and for what I've hosted and done over the years I've never had a problem and its been well worth the risk. And file sharing services aren't any more secure, its very much possibly for the powers that be to DMCA the service and possibly get your information (if your a premium user) and possibly their logs and they can track you down that way, its not that hard really. In this day and age of the internet the only way to truly stay hidden is to not get online at all.
