So, I recently got into collecting Amiibos and I just can't bring myself to opening any of them. I know..it's weird. I'm not planning to resell them either, I just want to keep them in their boxes. Last night my gf and I were amiibo hunting (lol) online and seeing where we could order some of the harder to find ones at retail when my gf randomly tells me, "Hey, check this thing out." It ended up being the "amiiqo" from China. This device lets you backup amiibo data to its NFC chip via an android app. Apparently it can hold up to 200 amiibos inside and comes with 10 pre-loaded. Besides backing up amiibos, you can apparently cheat with it and level them up with the device, as well as download amiibo bin files from the Internet and flash them to the device. The device could technically be used for piracy because one could download amiibo data of amiibos they don't actually own and use them, but I see it as a good thing for people like me who don't wanna open the damn things. What do you guys think about it, and does anyone here have one? http://www.amiiqo.net
I'm not an Amiibo collector myself, but I find that device to be super cool! The idea of having to buy figures to unlock characters or settings in a game just rubs me the wrong way. It's also great for collectors who dropped a ton of money on their Amiibos, now they can actually use them without having to open them up. I've always loved things like this, great idea.
nice! can't wait for that. I would order one, but I'm an iPhone user. I need to get some cheap android with NFC. Recommendations?
I have seen this. I'm interested, but not at the price they're asking for lol. make it £20, and i'll snap it up.
They'll most likely come down in price as soon as another Chinese company rips it off... which probably won't be long.
