Anyone wanna help me with homework really quick?

Sorry this is dumb but I need at least five responses to the following 2 questions as part of a 'common misconceptions' assignment.

Please answer both questions, just off the top of your head:
1. Is the following statement reasonable (correct), or is it unreasonable (incorrect): 'It will take me light-years to finish my history paper.'
2. Which is bigger, the solar system, the galaxy, the universe, or are they all the same?

Universe because within is galaxy and within that is solar system.

You could be light-years away from finishing your history paper, assuming the one and only means of completing it lie in another galaxy.

 

You can measure distance by time. "How far away is it?" "Oh about 20 minutes." But it doesn't work the other way. "When do you get off work?" "Around 3 miles."​

Any adult who cannot answer those questions should be ashamed of themselves.

 

There are many ignorant people. I know plenty of individuals whom would not be able to answer both questions, or at best only the first.

 

I didn't want to say anything but..yeah, they're pretty dumb questions..I think I could have answered them both with reasonable confidence in year 4. That said, I'd be a complete smart-ass if I was given that as a question now.

 

Man, you haven't seen anything if you think not being able to answer those questions is bad.

 

Exactly what I thought. But hey, you never know. Maybe these misconceptions aren't as common as the professor thought. I got about 20 total responses for the assignment and they were all the same.

 

I'm sure as fuck many of my students wouldn't be able to do these questions. My students 5 years ago, same age, would have laughed at me for the ease of them.

But today's students, many more than usually, are so retarded they'd just go "bro, that's like nerd shit, bro. I ain't gonna use none of that in a real job, so I don't know, bro. It don't make me no money, bro."

 

I knew the two answers in the OP but my teachers say this all the time.

We were doing a questionnaire in IT to be giving to year 7 students. I made a bunch of questionnaire that I knew I understood back when I was in year 7, apparantly they wouldn't understand/know the answer. Not sure if that was just me though.

 

I had to interview someone for a technical position and although he could tell me why a DLP projector was better then an LCD one, he failed to tell me what colour wires are in a plug or the differences between live and neutral. Needless to say he did not get the job.
