mate there's a company custom made live blade katana in WA for around A$140 plus shipping... then there's Japanese made real katana blade for A$5000 plus fitting that I can get from some collector... also there're few places in Korea producing real blade for far less and from what I was told they do ship internationally... The price in the link is a bit steep... :-( it's good idea to handle the live blade with respect... i've learnt it hard way and still have the scar to remind me... :smt022 for me if ever find someone who can do fake ivory handle and fitting - aka Highlander - I'd love to fit on my katana blade... shame it's locked away coz I can't keep it at home. all I have is iaido blade for practice... :smt022 *tsuba on the blade is real thing given to me when I was in Japan... told it's about 150+ years old... funny it's worth more than that iaido blade itself... :-D cheers

when i think back on masamune it is not sephiroths sword but the sword from Chrono Trigger and i really do not think it loks like that sword.
Now if you've been a Squaresoft fan from the beginning, you'll of course remember the masamune from the first Final Fantasy. You DID get the masamune, didn't you? Only time a white mage could ever kick as much ass as a fighter.. back when they didn't have names.
Greatsaintlouis: i was first a fan of square when i played secret of mana on SNES and i have never had any square products myself but i have played final fantasy on a SNES emulator. and i love chrono trigger

So the Sephiroth Sword Has a 5 foot long blade and 13 inches to grab with. That's a 6-foot sword whew! I wonder how sturdy it is? Anyone see the clip of a guy on QVC banging a trainer sword around and the blade broke and ricocheted and got him in the mid section :smt030

The secret masamune in the last dungeon, with that pain-in-the *ss diagonal corridor. :smt042 it kicked the Xcalibur's ass! plus, everyone could equip it. the legendary sword! I fell sorry for Chaos, (that was the last boss for those who didn't know) Only 2000hp.... i kicked is ass in a round: Nuke, Massamune Hit, Xcalibur and A punch. those where the good times! what i loved to do was to take the fire ORB at the end, betting craken and the last one (don't remember his name) before Carie. it was defficult at start, but i beated carie in a hit. :-D ahh....i think someday i'll start a new game of this true classic... My first game i ever finished btw. :-D one day i'll buy the japanese version, take the rom out, translate the rom and burn it into an eprom. :smt045 i just have to learn japanese language now... :-( :-D
