    Backstory:
I was with a couple of my friends, just looking up random things on google, then, one of my friends decides to look up my email, I was against the idea, but he did it anyway. When the search results came in, I was surprised to see that there was only one result. It was a jumble of letters and numbers. (Actual webpage name: GQp17qxv) In the description it showed my email followed by the password. So I started panicking and immediately changed my password, then proceeded to look at the site further. They leak passwords almost every hour it seems, and its not just emails, some other login stuff was there too.

If thats not illegal I dont know what is. If anyone wants to help me take this website down, please message me.

(I dont know what the rules for this forum are, because I couldn't find them, so If i'm not allowed to post links, just tell me and Ill remove it.)

There's nothing you can really do about this type of site. If you're reusing passwords after all the news recently about people being silly and reusing logins then it's your own fault.

Never reuse passwords. There's worse sites then this that sell and trade your data daily. I know of around 15 sites just like this. The only thing you can do is never reuse a password and just move on.

That or use a new email and password for everything which is what I do.

There has to be SOMETHING we can do. Surely this is illegal.

There's nothing because it's just not this site listing the data. This is the problem of the internet. Once it's in one place it's everywhere.

Yeah it's illegal but it's not just 1 site it's hundreds. You take one offline and five more popup.

The past 2 years the news has been warning people never to reuse passwords due to this. People have been warned and if you still reuse passwords then expect to be hacked. Hackers use these passwords to gain access to emails/paypal/and so on to gain more data to sell and leak. It's none stop.

Even right now someone is trying to hack our data and leak/sell it.

I bet with your email I could find a list of sites that you don't even remember joining.

Thank you for sharing. I just changed all of my passwords after reading your story. It's been more than a year that I was using the same password for my Emails and after reading the post I thought it was time to change them.

    What you should always do:
    • Multiple email adresses
    • A different password for each site.
    • Write things down in a safe place if you can't remember everything.
    • A computer is only safe as long as nobody has access to it exept yourself. All data can be accessed with an internet connection and the right tools.

The best thing you've done is alert people. Sadly, this happens a lot and only you can keep yourself safe.

Sites like that should remain visible, as it allows people to determine how a site was compromised and then fix it.

Kind of funny a person set up a site to do this with a leaked list.

This is dangerous. I keep lists of registered sites but sometimes we do mistakes and forget updating.
