Anyone with multiple DCs, BBAs and or lan adapters available to try out this program?

    I wanted to give this more exposure to interested parties:

    Apparently there is a littleknown homebrew tool to emulate the VS link cable of the dreamcast, for Virtual On, using the BBA or LAN adapter. Assuming the software works, this may open up the possibility of VOOT matchmaking over the internet, and therefore getting another DC game playable online.

    Does anyone have the hardware and know-how to test it out conclusively?

    Seems interesting! BTW there's a CDI and a NRG file ready to be burnt on the sourceforge (from 2002!!): https://sourceforge.net/projects/voot/files/np-voot-cust+/20020522/

    Seems there's a more recent version, although not in CDI format.

    Latest source-code tarball: http://voot.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/voot/?view=tar

    I hope this turns out to work! What a find!

    I have both a BBA and a LAN adapter as well as multiple Dreamcasts, but I won't have enough time to work on it until Thursday or Friday, but I'll check it out.

    I have tried it out with a few of my buddies from ReviveDC and it is buggy as all hell. It doesn't work very well. Once darc sends my back my DC after I have him do the ODE MOD for me maybe him and I can test it out.

    @darc

    I sent you a message on dumpcast asking which DC I should send you and if you need the GDI of Hello Kitty Garden Panic NFR disc I just dumped. And yes I have a different screen name here :p

    @RaZiel, according to a poor google translate of the webpage, games over internet should be buggy (because of the lag), but on lan it should be fine.

    I can confirm the translated webpage. Lordnikon (onlineconsoles.com) and I tested both cases (LAN and WAN) and WAN doesn't work. I even built an application specifically for tunneling the connection over the internet.

    Wonder if this program could be used or modified to work with other vs-cable games too? Like F355.
