I'm not much of a toy collector but I recently acquired an antique toy slot car set and the cardboard box looks pretty cool. It's in a large box about the size of a console box but not the same dimensions as any that I am aware of, it has some tears and wear and I'd like to protect it from further degredation if possible. I've recently become a fan of these plastic box protectors for my cardboard box video games, they really do hold things together and in the appropriate rectangular shape and offer protection from shelf wear and dust, it would be neat if I could just get a giant one for this box - and I have seen places offer them for console boxes before Is anyone aware whether any of those places that sell plastic box protectors for snes/nes etc, offer custom dimensions such that I could order a large one for this slot car set? The dimensions are approximately 15 x 24 x 3.5 inches. Are there any alternatives to the plastic box protectors that you might recommend?
