Does anyone have any pictures/links/info on any kind of arcade development/devkits?
For many older arcade games, they probobly just used a computer of some kind, an assembler running on that computer plus EEPROMs on the boards but I wonder what more modern hardware is developed with...

I know Assembler's old site had pictures of the ST-V cartdev system... unfortunately not many details :-(

I have a few arcade dev boards, usually the same arrangement, the roms are replaced with an emu box or eproms with a flashing interface.

seriously? Come on, tell us more!
(plus, I hear some mame people would really appreciate the ST-V dev bios, and so would I)

The EPROMs or interface boards are still a pain to use. Definately makes you appreciate something like MAME.

I wonder if any of the later companies used MAME? An IGS PGM emulator would've probably ran OK on a top of the line system from 1998. Neo Geo emulation would've been good enough to make games such as Nightmare in the Dark in 2001.
