As I didn't want to hijack ASSEMbler's Arcadia maps thread, I decided to make a new topic here - I hope it's sufficiently Japanese to justify being here. Basically, (assuming I can afford it) I'd love to get a subscription to Arcadia magazine, but the problem is I one of them there gaijin white fellers across the sea. Is there any possible way of getting a subscription to ship overseas, or any go-between companies that do this sort of thing?
Please hook me up with any insights if you get them GSL, there are a few J mags I'd like to subscribe to as well!
You can get a subscription easy by me. Check for book stores like kinokuniya (sp?) they do subscriptions.
Kinokuniya does? Maybe I can con convince them to ship to me, I've been a faithful shopper there for over 10 years Too bad they wouldn't have Game Labo (which I don't think even has subscriptions)
Don't know if they do subscriptions, but you can get Arcadia from this domestic seller: http://www.akadotretail.com/shop/index.php?client=
Play Asia packages seem to take forever to get to Hawaii, but everyone else (including quite a few Japanese Gaming posters) swear by them, so I think you should be okay. I guess I could see where packages from HK don't come direct. Stuff direct from Japan takes a couple of days. Pretty nice. FYI to everyone -- Arcadia has back issues for sale at their site as well, with Engrish instructions on how to pick them up. I don't think they do subscriptions though.
yes, kinokuniya does supply arcadias or can accept subscriptions. Apparently Enterbrain magazines were quite hard to come by a couple of years ago, but due to popularity after the initial shipments of Arcadia magazine, it should not be that hard to get a subscription nowadays. I also want to note that I think I was the first artist out of U.S.A. to be shown in the a-fro "artist frontiers" section in arcadia~, and damn proud of it~! (we have an ongoing battle between us friends in sections in arcadia, my friend was pictured recently for winning 2nd and representing the usa at the vf tourney last year) but Arcadia is my favorite mag for sure... http://tsenzen.org/rarez/arcadia/afrowebsite.html
