Just got back from Hollywood video, and since we had a gamecrazy next door, I decided to take a look at their selection. While there, I saw that pretty much all of the 360 games were $50. Then, earlier in the day, I knoticed that several of the 360 games at EB were also $50 (Not the Microsoft games, but 3rd party ones such as Hitman, Tomb Raider, Oblivion, etc). It may just be some sale I have not read too much into, but could this be a sign that retailers are starting to get to get tired of the $10 price hike for 360 games with other ports?
Retailers will only reduce the price of the games if: 1) The retailer's cost is reduced (and even then it is not very likely). 2) The games are not selling (i.e. the game is crappy or old). 3) The retailer is having a sale or clearance. I would say you walked into a sale/clearance.
360 games here in Canada are getting fairly cheap. Most first gen titles, now retail for under $40, and EA Sports titles are dirt cheap at $34, though that was at certain stores, namely Wal-Mart... Ryan
Over here [Sweden], games can get pretty expensive. A new title can go for as much as $97. And you better believe it. And it's not just the Xbox 360 ones, but games for all of the current platforms. Yesterday I saw some low prices at one of the local stores. They put a new pricetag on the release titles and you can get games like Perfect Dark Zero and others for about $27 to $41. And that's concidered cheap here.
For now... BTW, europe is getting s similar pack but with saints row instead of PGR3. I would ratter pack Winning Eleven, is soccer land there...
