Are there N64-based games that we still can't run?

Since the Everdrive 64 (and maybe other flash cartridges, I don't know) can now play 64DD and Aleck64 games, are there any other N64 games that we can't play? Or any games that were written for N64-ish sort of hardware, and might one day be modified to run on real N64 consoles?

Some Mario Artist title comes to mind, that had some kind of video input if I'm not mistaken. Hard to emulate things like that. That's the only real no-go I can think of though.

The RTC inside of Animal Forest is supported by not all, but at least some flash carts, afaik - so count that however you want.

Then there's Hey You Pikachu, which requires a mike; while you don't need the real cart if you have that mike and a flash cart, owning one without the other doesn't make much sense since it's the only game to use it (i.e. you're very likely to buy them together anyways), so that's another one that's open to interpretation.

I have a v2.5, and it runs basically everything I know, game wise. 64DD, Aleck, etc.

    The v2.5 still can't play Pokemon Stadium 2 correctly...right? The v3 can though...right?

2.5 can play it, but either with some graphical glitches, or glitch-free but without working saves. v3 should be good afaik, but I don't care enough about teh pokeymans to have actively looked into that.

this happens, 'cause the savegame on the v2.5 is located at the end of the 64MB sdram. (the v3 has dedicated ram for that)
most games aren't filled up to the last bytes of the last bank, so the very big pkms2 rom is kida an execption.

Yes, but fortunately, the other two 64MB N64 games (Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Resident Evil 2) work and save correctly, presumably the last part of their rom files doesn't contain important data that can be over-written.

The 64Drive I have works great on everything short of the Pokemon Snap Station and the n64dd stuff still being worked on. No need to purchase multiple carts either, fantastic v1.0 release.

Man, I love seeing N64 archiving continue to progress on. I haven't jumped into the N64 stuff in a long while. When I was into it there were still retail games needed resolving. (This was way before everdrive. I know... I'm ancient) These were all the game bigger than 256 megabits. Off the top of my head it was Paper Mario (320mb), Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Calibur (320mb), Pokemon Stadium 2 (512mb), Resident Evil 2 (512mb, im still amazed how they got that big a game to fit in 512 mega bits), and Conker's Bad Fur Day (512mb).

I was just looking it up now, these things have been long resolved (minus some issues). Crazy how far things have gotten. Curious to what's not compatible now as well.

    or simply no data ^^

Morita Shogi 64 has an old analog modem inside the cartridge. ^^
i guess even the original retail cart isn't working any longer on modern ip-based phone lines, but this clearly depends on the country and it's infrastructure. ^^
