So, i will try to keep this relatively short, I've recently acquired a lot of PS2 Debugging Stations, a bunch of DTL-30001 and 50001 units, i live in a PAL territory so i have to use an step down transformer to use them here, is it possible to use retail PAL equivalent power supplies (From SCPH-30002 and SCPH-50002, yes I live in Australia) and place them in the respective model unit so my debugging stations can use the standard voltage in my country.

And i also have a broken SCPH-9002 (And another working one) with a working power supply, is it possible to put this in an SCPH-9001 so it can also use the standard voltage here without the need for a step down.

I assume this will probably work but I'm not certain and want to be absolutely sure it will succeed.

While i feel like doubting myself I wll say yes. The power board inside the fat ps2s all output the same voltage to the system itself. Only difference is input.

No. That's only valid for models with harddrive bays. Early PCMCIA consoles have 8.5v powersupplies. Only (confusing exception) is the late SCPH-18000 with the newer board which indeed use 12v PSU with PCMCIA slot.

I too am looking at replacing a psu in a scph 37000 (ocean Blue, 110v ntsc-j) with a 220v psu. I'm guessing I need a psu from a 39003 but can any one confirm that this would work?
    Thanks
