hard to believe that this is real... looks more like a hoax to me

kinect will get in our living room... eventually :)
I love kinectimals (don't judge me, I'm just a hardcore gamer like most of you guys) and those party games look like fun
some of the dancing games also look interesting...

I had the opportunity to test Kinect with just a select group of other press guys and most of the comments that Kinect doesn't work are false
Kinect works... only not in a room with hundred moving objects (=people)
but it's surprisingly accurate in a living room with a bunch (read 6) people who are watching or occasionally walking around.

I'm just curious what (real) games they'll release but I really thinks it has potential :)

Maybe later on, but not now. There really isn't any games for it right now that make me want to buy it. They have a demo at the Microsoft store in my area but haven't had a chance to try it. I will say though the PlayStation move was very disappointing. The accuracy on the thing isn't even that great. Very bland experience.

Expensive add-on? Sounds like Microsoft didn't learn anything from Sega. The Move for the PS3 is, as I'm sure you all know, Sony's rip on the Wii after mocking the Wiimote all these years.

$200 for a console is a bit much for me right now let alone $100-200 add-ons that really don't have enough killer apps to begin to justify the purchase.
