Just a quick post to see how many people are actually wanting snow. I absolutely love it, whether I can drive or not. What says you?
Not at all. I'm currently in southern Germany where we had 18C today. Wish it would be that nice all winter. Tomorrow it'll be around 15C. I'd take that over snow anytime.
Yes, it's a very pretty site. I go out and shovel my path as soon as it falls so we don't have the issues other people do, and then it isnt an issue for us.
I'm in west Texas USA. We don't know what snow is... So I don't care either way. Last year it was white Christmas. This years is looking to be a warm dry one...
Have had quite a few snowfalls this year in southern Minnesota; I love the snow for the holiday season, but when it gets too nasty out there it becomes a real pain in the ass when one has to constantly scrape their windshields, plow the driveway, and drive with extra caution at all times. I have a love / hate relationship with snow, hah!
I don't mind walking out and about in the snow, good exercise, but meh I haven't been out and about as much lately, it's cold and I'm skint. If it was a white christmas I'd be too skint to have the heating on all day I think so no, I hope it won't be a white christmas
I always want a white Christmas, snow is awesome. Yeah I hear you car drivers, but I don't really mind driving in the snow even though I've already had a car accident due to the weather conditions once and it's a pain to remove all the ice and snow before one can get started. Being in Alberta/Canada right now, I have -25 degrees and around 70cm of snow in the garden, plus 1-1.5 meter tall snow piles next to all the walkways and 3-4m tall snow mountains on any given parking lot hahahah. Tomorrow I'll go out for some sleigh riding, winter is awesome! But yes, I'm glad to be back in Defect X's warm rainy winter area in a few days, too. At least Vancouver got a good 1 day with a nice 10cm layer of snow this year before it turned into slush.
While I love the snow, it gets really cold here in January and February, December is always a more temperate time of year, so the longer without ice the better. White Christmas' are great but it's better if the cold weather holds off for longer.
