Yup an English version, I do have tons of Xbox NTSC-J Asian games.... All Asian games are in English, just that the region indicates NTSC-J.

    I am not the seller~

Pretty mysterious to me anyway. Haven't seen a database on Xbox games like Asian or Korean.

Not sure if anyone is keeping track on Asian Xbox release, but here my small Xbox collection, the Halo 2 Multiplayer took me 1 year to find a single copy!

All Asian Xbox games shown are in English gameplay.

Very Nice. Yea it took me quite a bit of time to find splinter cell NTSC-J. (Hopefully to softmod)

surprising the splinter cell NTSC-J copy shown in the picture was actually use to softmod my Xbox years back. works with the exploit. This is the Asian version and not the Japan version which is also ntscJ

Cheers mate! :) Never got anything for any of my consoles to customize, but as i have ample Cubes (only Nintendo system i collect for) and about to get a XENO chip from Mamejay i thought i'd get one for the collection. Also will be easier to take a Cube that plays all region games to events without:
    a) Having to load the Freeplay disc every time i change the game
    b) Not mistaking it for someone else's GameCube

Nice set of J-BOX games kyo86sg! :) That Japanese Halo 2 Map Pack looks sweet! Congrats on the find! I never saw it when i was in Japan. I did grab this though, my only Japanese original XBOX game set: The Halo History Pack. Probably the only Platinum release covers i actually like (especially the variant Halo 1 cover)...

OK guys, I've moved some of the posts from the eBay thread over here. It was getting rather off topic - don't forget to keep the eBay thread limited to posting eBay links and discussing said items.

It's a pretty interesting topic, so I've brought pretty much everything over related. Post your Asian game photos here!

I'll start off the questions - how many Asian 'regions' are there for Xbox games?

In Singapore, commonly found is the NTSC-J Singapore/hong Kong version. The game title is usually in English and Chinese, but usually in English gameplay. I have also come across the uncommon NTSC-J Japanese version, which is self explains = Japanese game play. The much more uncommon will be the NTSC-J Korean version of the game. Often Korean version is a odd ball gets Japanese/ Korean/ sometimes English game play.

Thats coming from my experience in shopping for games in Singapore.

Here are my brand new sealed Korean NTSJ XBOX games. I do not know if any of these are hard to find?

    Hey A Toubib,
On the barcode it tells you which asian country it is for. All mine say FOR KOREA ONLY. I have seen ones for Singapore, China...ect. The funny thing is they all have NTSC-J on them.

I was actively buying Asian Xbox games across Taiwan, HK, Singapore and Korea back when it was the main Microsoft machine. Generally, it depends upon the publisher if they released a specific Asian version or just used the region free NTSC US or PAL version to sell in Asia. Some Japanese publishers, just released their Japanese games as-is for the Asian market. For example, Activision did have some Asian versions with the original XBOX but once they moved to 360, I believe after the first year or 2, they completely swapped out to using US versions for Asia while a company like UBISoft has unique Asian versions for games like Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia. There are also cases of games with different language tracks like with Halo 1/2 where there are Chinese dubbed versions in addition to the English voice versions. Chinese region Asian games and Korean games differ in packaging but the actual game content is the same except for Korea only game releases (less than a handful there).

I generally have purchased the Asian version of games that were never released in Japan due to the region coding but after the modchips came out, it rendered that problem moot.

Cheers for answering that! I actually had no idea as i don't remember ever testing it out. Mainly used the Halo & Halo 2 discs for LAN gaming.

Btw, love how the Aliens/enemies in Halo speak English while Japanese language was only reserved for the humans/good guys :] I was quite disappointed at that as i was really looking forward to hearing those little grunts squeal and taunt in Japanese :(

Yes and no. Majority of games which have English releases, the Japanese text is set by the dashboard language. Games like Halo are usually defaultly set to Japanese for audio if I remember correctly.

Japanese titles also have "world collections" which are mainly games which hit classics/platinum worldwide.

Over half of my 360 collection are Asian versions. They work in a Japanese console, always in English and much cheaper than Japanese games and come out much sooner. Have you ever seen a Korean 360 game? I have a Korean Terminator Salvation if you'd like to see pictures. It's all in Korean but works fine in a Japanese 360.
