It reminds me EVEN MORE of Shenmue than the first one did With the whole avenge your father thing. Its good in the same ways as the old game, but it still leaves me saying to myself, "well what the fuck do i do know?" though the humor in the game makes up for it, "it will only take me a minute" "ooo that didn't come out right" im not that far in but i just hope the game pics up more, i still dont have any weapons yet and i dont feel like playing for 10 hours just to get started. I just want to play, not bullshit around the town running errands and getting laid, i just wanna play some good ol assassins creed takedowns. oh and the implementation of the money system is, well... i like it.
You aren't that far in then. I'm well pretty much when things pick up. The It'sa me Mario comes out of nowhere and it's pretty HAW HAW. Personally I feel the Spanish Inquisition would've been a better setting. You never see an assassin coming and NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!
If it's a buggy as part 1 I am not bothering. I was more than halfway through the game when it froze on me and the game save refused to work - I stuck it away and never went back. Some parts, like galloping on that sodding horse between various locations was mind numbing.

Is anyone else not getting this in 1080p? it says it is on the box, but my TV says the game is displaying in 720p
I assume you have a PS3. The videos are in 1080p, gameplay is in 720p. The graphics on the xbox are also rendered in 720p but are upscaled by HANNA to 1080p.
The "Videos" aren't even videos as the use the game engine anyways I'll check on our LCD when I have I have time.
Yeah I have the PS3 version. It's not a huge problem, the graphics are still pretty good, even though they don't appear to have improved from the original.
