Can anyone tell if this is fake or real ? https://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/348361727 "So i will tell you one secret. There is some debug feature that let you play ac bloodlines on PS2. Looks like no body has discovered it yet. You just need some programming skills, PSP, usb cabel and AC Bloodlines." The "dev" even credited Assemblergames for good programming skills "No one can say that i haven keep my promise If you need help with "hacking" PSP/PS2 just post some threads on Assemblergames. The people there know their stuff."
I mean, it's possible there's some sort of half finished PS2 binary somewhere in the ifles if it started life as s PS2 tite, or if there was going to be a port. Or maybe super unlikely, the dev referred development of AC worlds or something on a bg screen. All of these are super unlilely though, especially the last one. This stuff doe happen, though. Pikmin 1 has an EXE foe in the root dir of the retail disc where you can play an in development, different versions of part of the game.
Ah 4chan. Wonderful place it is... It wouldn't surprise me if things like this were possible, but chances are very low of being legitimate. This guy pretty much explained it well enough.
People didn't believe the endless Battlefront 3 posts And then look what happened - it actually happened.
4chan can be either true or fake, no one knows it. But I doubt it, althrough they mentioned the Pikmin .exe (didn't know that until now), it was already know months before, and as I far as I know, the original AC started as an PS2 and Xbox game.
Seems plausible that the original PS2 and Xbox title was retooled as a portable game, would have salvaged the work put into those cancelled versions. In order to play it on PS2, wouldn't there need to be some PS2 binary code tucked away on the UMD? Maybe it's hidden in a dummy file like the Arcade version of F-Zero AX was on the GX disc. http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2010/03/28/assassins-creed-originally-bound-for-ps2-too/
