I'm aware of the Super Famicom version, Megadrive, and the sega saturn Leynos 2.

Are there any other versions of this game I missed? An arcade board?

I've got Cybernator which I think is the US/PAL version of Valken.

I think Vixen 357 for Mega Drive is a part of the series too. Although it's a turn based strategy RPG. There's also a game for PS1 called Assault Suits Valken 2, I think it's a a strategy game aswell.

And don't forget Konami's cash in. We all know that the Assault Suit games are made by NCS Masiya (Nippon Computer Systems) but Konami released the first SFC game Assault Suit Valken as Cybernator and completely censored it. Gone is the president blowing his own brains out near the end of thegame. Gone are the anime caharcter picvtures and gone is the cool ending. Wankers. Anyway, Lucas Arts made an unofficial follow up to the SFC game which Konami released as Metal warriors (I think it was called that) saying it was the official follow up to Cybernator. Of course this was only released in the west.

Didn't know so much was taken out from Cybernator. I'll have to play the original.
I assume taking out the bit with the president was Ninty's doing but why remove the Anime characters? And was the ending offensive or something?
I really liked Metal Warriors. May have been because I played it before any of the real Assault Suits games though.
Still the best of the series IMO is Leynoss 2 on the Sat. Just the graphics alone make it worth a purchase.

Metal Warriors is neat in places, but doent really have any edge to it.

Actually, I think NCS Masaya began the work with Metal Warriors but let Lucas Arts continue for some reason.

As a fan of the series and owner of most of these games heres what I've been able to compile.

Mega Drive/Genesis: Assault Suits Leynos/Target Earth
    SFC/SNES: Assault Suits Valken/Cybernator
SNES: Metal Warriors (Unofficial follow up)
Sega Saturn: Assault Suits Leynos II
Sony PlayStation: Assault Suits Valken II

Sony PS2: Assault Suits Valken remake

    Loosely related or similar
    Mega Drive: Vixen 357 (NCS)
NES: Metal Storm (iRem) This is so much like an AS title that it has to have been influential in the creation of the AS series. Just my opinion here.
