Started off in game store "X". They used to carry a lot of imports,
however have stopped. I am slowly badgering them about their stock. Has two blaze dual player sticks for $29. Pass, they are psone only. Has powerstone 2 and dancing blade for $15 , seems steep for such titles. Has a Japanese DC gun , new, $20. Too much again.

He sells me three sealed ikarugas for... $30

Store two: Got a turbo duo there last time for $99.
Got two neo geo for $99. Nothing there this time except the
onimusha sword controller. $150... ugh. looks like a POS when I get it up close. Some cheapo plastic. Has a bunch of pong units, a DINA too.

Store three: Has a Japanese dreamcast dual player arcade stick.
Japanese.. no brand name seen. $50.
Has another of the sword controllers. Has about 20 dc shells,
I will ask about buying all of them next time. Also has
a sealed discworld II for $20.. worth getting?

Store four: Has large supply of clones.

    Clone one:

It's indeed a GBA design, it is however a GB color clone with screen.
The screen however is only ONE HALF the height of the normal screen, and is very poor. Games are loaded by flash rom into it.
You can store one game in the internal flash rom (portable mode)
and use all of them when plugged in at home. PC linkable!

Clone two: PSX clone, white with red and blue buttons.
This clone was interesting because it was 1. Korean
    2. had 256 uniques 3. very expensive

Clone three: a NUON pad casing with a famiclone in it.
    Very strange.

This shop also had loads of new old stock honeybee pads for genesis and superfami. If people want one of these LMK.

Man you are lucky to have stores that sell import / used games.

In the area i live there are no more used shops. All game stores only sells brand new stuff (this means, PS2,XBOX and GC, all USA imports). :snipe:

The only way to buy used stuff / imports is now on internet (MercadoLivre and Gaming MessageBoards), or in some lucky find on old electronic shops. :smt009

By the way, 30 bucks for 3 sealed Ikaruga's ?!?! I think you are going to add that Turbo to your car soon. Selling one of those would probably pay for it! :smt033

They wanted $40 usd each for the psx style (psone style)or the GBA.
$50 for the psx one (original style) with the carts and multis.

The DC shells weren't official. I hope I can get them all for $50.
They have obviously been there a long long time.

    Gaming Store Directory...

Wouldn't it be great if there was a directory where you could look up game stores in your area and people could post reviews of the stores etc? Just an idea...

    International

I mean an international one though, so if you went to "X" country you know where to go for games

    Re: International

We tried that on the old forum, only myself, Antipasta and one or two others contributed, so it died quickly. If enough people want to contribute, im sure we could resurrect it!

Now that would be cool! I remember spending over an hour typing it all up, shame it died so quickly.
And if anyone wants to see an overpriced store go to J+L Gametrading in NYC (Elizabeth Street IIRC)... the cheapest US Saturn game was $20, for instance, and Japanese games sold at really ridiculous prices :Hangman:

J&L are damn ridiculous. $100 for a neo memory card, $75-80 even for mediocre saturn import games.
