Hey, that is amazing news. It is good to see our site on the facebook. I was really waiting when this site will also be on FB. I too joined. Nowadays everyone is so addicted to Facebook that it will be more convenient to keep in touch through FB also. Thanks for creating the page for us. Great work dude.

Pfft, no matter what you do, you'll always be spied somehow by them. Even if you perm delete you account you never know if your collected data was completely erased or if its been traded behind your back in the "black-market".

I noticed Eggplant_Casserole/Retro joined the group on Facebook a few weeks back and like a sheep I followed him. I haven't noticed much activity yet but the video links are amusing. I Normally I keep my photos and shit on lockdown but as I actually met Eggplant_Casserole/Retro at the Assembler in London gathering of 2004 and he even took some of the pictures I have given him pretty much unrestricted access. I wasn't too worried that he would masturbate over my pictures though as I am the wrong gender and especially the wrong age for his sexual preferences ;) If Gleavepaul, Tachikoma or Paulo etc. want to add me feel free. I accidently fucked a bunch of people off my friends list last year when organising people into groups doh but don't be a stranger. I won't speak unless spoken to unless I have something to say though so if I'm mostly quiet don't worry about it, it is nothing personal ;)

Just liked the site. I thought ASSEMblergames didn't want too much attention brought to it.

I know there are alot of people with privacy issues that whether are justifiable or not. There are issues and its the persons choice. So heres how to truly delete your account.

    Step 1. Go here: https://ssl.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account

    Step 2. Click Submit

Step 3. Don't log in for 15 days.

    Step 4.????

    Step 5. PROFIT!!!

There is a difference between deactivating and deleting. Deactivating keeps ALL your images and information on facebooks servers ready to be restored. Deleting will after 15 days remove ALL information from their server. You CAN however restore your account if you log in within those 15 days.

After 15 days if you haven't logged in they REMOVE all of your information from the servers. Please note the difference.

Also you and Glenn Beck would get along well. Even thinking that a reputable billion dollar company would engage in black market activities is idiotic.

When I closed an account for somebody I did checks to make sure the images were off the server.

Still, you'll never know its stored somewhere else.

Edit: And why the feck does Facebook take so many days to "delete" our accounts? Sounds fishy to me.

In the event you get hacked. 15 days is plenty time to reclaim ownership of related accounts and restore the details.

I think Treamcaster's point is that your data will have been harvested whilst you were still a member, if your profile was in any way open. If this concerns you then the obvious response, as marshallh already pointed out, is to lock down all privacy options.

Yea, that's right. Although I consider the best security option would be not to have a facebook account at all. But hey, that's just me .
