    Regarding the NPDP-Console auction...

Too expensive? The price doesnt differ much at all compared to the NR-Readers. It is the cartridges that are expensive.

Equivalent how? The only thing they do the same is use NPDP-Cartridges, wouldnt you say?

What do you mean by this? Final revision? Wouldnt you say that the only thing they have in common is the use of NPDP-Cartridges instead of discs?

Well up to 4 games actually.

I beg to differ (considering that the NPDP-GDEV's cost 20 times more than the NPDP-Console hehe) :p

    You know what I mean.
GBOX and NPDP cube only do one thing. Playtest debug.
    Same thing in my mind.
No. The GBOX came first, and then the cheaper NPDP cube.
O.K. then the manufacturer manual is wrong because it does three and has space for debug tools.
It's spoken in terms of frequency on ebay.

Well the NPDP-Console can only playtest yes, but the GBOX can be connected to a PC via the USB2EXI and the serial cable and be used for communication with the PC in real-time. And the GBOX has 48megs of main mem so if more than the 24megs the NPDP-Console has is used...

Yes it came first but why does that make the NPDP-Console the final revision? I dont see how they are different revisions just because they both use NPDP-Cartridges. The purpose is not the same and a later revision in my mind is something that is supposed to replace an earlier revision, something the NPDP-Console wasnt meant to do.

Ok, but Ive seen more NPDP-Consoles than NPDP-GDEV's on ebay...and more NPDP-Consoles than many other items.

No one really uses it this way, because 1. Playtester won't know how to use it, and if he's trained enough to use the usb and pc link he's probably not going to want to be paid the near minimum wage they pay playtesters. 2.If you're going to do that might as well use the DEV box to check on the error AFTER testing on the NPDP so you can fix the error once you see it.

All of the GBOX setups at you-know-where were not set up with pc link. They were shoved in a storeroom as relics, and NR readers used for debug testing.

A cheaper version that does 90% of the functions of a prior device usually means one thing. GBOX was too damn expensive.

It wasn't near the value and I decided to pull it and try to sell it to a private buyer.
