I've long been a fan of the Saturn version of Asuka 120%, and recently have discovered that Fill-in-Cafe released a Doujin updated version, Asuka 120% Burning Fest Limit Over / Limit Over Burning Fest. Does anyone have this game? Has anyone ever played it? Has anyone even seen it? There's some English documentation on it here: http://web.archive.org/web/20110713090351/http://www.jap-sai.com/Games/Asuka_120/Asuka_120.htm and a similar write-up on the game here: http://asuka-120.wikia.com/wiki/Asuka_120%_Limited_BURNING_Fest.
Is this for real? I can't say I've ever heard of this before. It's very odd for a company to release a "Patched" game on CD-R or for download for a system that was still doing well. It says that the disc was released not long after the original release. man, I need to look in to this one. I love Asuka 120% Burning Fest on the Saturn. EDIT: Just notriced that the video shown for the normal Asuka is actually my video from my site and YouTube channel.
I've found and downloaded an ISO for this game last night but whoever made the rip is an idiot because it's not working. The image wont work with emulation or in a real Saturn. I Know how to burn Saturn discs (been doing it for oover 15 years) and know How to make a CDR run on a Saturn. But this image doesn't work. PS: I'm no Saturn pirate by the way. You only need to look at my collection to know that.
I found a video on niconico that appears to be of Asuka 120% Limit Over, but I'm honestly not familiar enough with the game anymore to to tell.
I have the ISO on my harddrive at home. Since the saturn has been dead for a very long time and this isn't actually a released game but a free patch I wonder if I can post it in the downloads section. Understaand that I couldn't get the image to burn to a CD though. I'll give it one more try today. It is a saturn ISO & MP3 set but why it won't copy to disc in a working state is vey odd.
hi mate, Probably might know this but try Imgburn for iso+mp3. People suggest converting the mp3 to wav first, yet imgburn does it on the fly no problem without any conversions. Also, is there a cue sheet with it, as its needed.
I did use the cue sheet that came with it and also used imageburn. I'm using Windows 7 64bit Ulitmate edition (or whatever they called it). Maybe there's a fault with the cue sheet? There's not much I can do right now as I'm in work but later when I get home I'll take a good look at the cue sheet and the settings on image burn.
PPF patch? If it is, should not be an issue, as its not a copyrighted file and also the Saturn is no longer supported and non profitable anymore.
Actually its an executable. I'll be honest I have never used it but I downloaded it from the developer's website a long time ago. It also has an assortment of files pertaining to the patch. I'll upload it to mega and post a link in a bit. UPDATE: LINK
Out of curiosity, check the ISO region with Saturn Region Patcher, as it may have been patched for US/NTSC if you're using a JP saturn console. Just a thought!
Oh man, you could be right. I hate I when people do that and don't mention it. I mean, it's a Japanese game so I'd expect it to be I Japanese region code.
Yep, some idiot had converted the image to US spec (I hate that) and didn't even mention it in a read me file or anything I've now changed it back to Japanese region code. I've yet to try it in my Saturn but it did boot via emulation. Works too. If it's OK with ASSEMbler I'll upload a torrent for people to download the image.
I have linked a pre-patched 82.6mb compressed version in the downloads section. Its in JP format and will need region patching if your'e console is not Japanese, unless you have the Action Replay to bypass the region code.
