Hey all, I was wondering, what with all the shennanigans with the alterations between the Japanese and US/UK versions of MP1 in Trilogy, how many versions of MP1 actually exists? Here's my reckoning, but please feel free to add if I've missed any... NTSC Retail Demo PAL Retail Demo NTSC - First Release (0-00) NTSC - Subtle Changes Edition (0-01) NTSC Players Choice - Butchered Edition (0-02) Korean - Crazy Ass Glitches Edition (0-30) PAL - Europeans Didn't get a Choice Edition (0-00) Japanese - More Voices Edition (0-00 too?) Japanese Wii Remake - Gimped Dash-Jump Edition US/UK Trilogy Edition - Retro's Two-Fingered Salute to the Sequence Breakers Edition I make 10 versions with differences between them all. (As in they each have something unique to that version no other version has). Seeing as this is a high-level collectors site, does anyone here know of anyone with any other versions of this game? (Preferrably unreleased Betas/Alphas). It's a bit mad to think how many times Retro/Nintendo have altered the code/design in the game so blalantly! :dammit: Andrew
What's been changed from the original in the US release of Trilogy? Aside from the new controls and the Progressive/16:9 mode, of course.
have you played many of these? if so which is best? I've only played the one version but I'll ick up trilogy at some point and make it two. If there's another substantially better version I may try and track it down.
I used to own nearly every version of Metroid Prime in existence (when I ran Samus.co.uk), but I've sold off all bar my original NTSC copy and my PAL copy. For an - incomplete - list of differences in the GC versions, go to the version differences section on the left: http://www.metroid2002.com/home.php For the differences found between the GC and Wii versions, check out this thread: http://forum.metroid2002.com/index.php/topic,8518.0.html
That made me LoL. I didn't know so many differences existed. Can anyone go into more detail? EDIT:nvm
