  1. Atari 2600 6 Switch Wood Version 50/60 Hz Mod?

For example if I have a PAL console this mod can be done?
Somebody knows if this mod can be done to this version?

    Thanks!

There is no such thing as 50/60hz as a NTSC cartridge in a PAL machine will display a 60Hz picture and a PAL cartridge in a NTSC machine will display a 50Hz picture. However the TIA in both consoles is different so the colours will be wrong, for example Luminance 0 and Hue 4 on a NTSC machine is yellow but brown on a PAL console. Hue 5 will be purple on a NTSC machine but dark green on a PAL console.

You would need both TIA chips (PAL and NTSC) and a way to switch between the two...

  3. Thanks for the information Jamtex. From what I read Atari 2600 NTSC have 128 colors, PAL 104 colors and SECAM only 8 colors which is a little strange because the rest of the console the PAL version of them have more colors than the NTSC version.
