The console powers on, but only white image, game doesn't run. I can hear a loud buzzing coming from the pcb. I'm using a power supply (tested on a lynx 1), not batteries. Any ideas?
It doesn't sound good I'm afraid. The white screen you're seeing is the back-light turned up to maximum, the buzzing is odd especially if it's loud, although a sound from the speakers is normal. You could try taking it apart and having a look around but I've not heard of one being successfully fixed with the symptoms yours has.
Yes, i know the white it's just the backlight and i can't controll the brightness level. The loud buzzing it's not comming from the speaker, but from the pcb.
https://atariage.com/Lynx/archives/schematics/index.html Look at the lower left corner, it's where a transformer exists that provide higher voltage to drive CCFL, contrast control, and powers LCD. You could try checking there against the listed voltage reference.
