Its definitely fake. In fact I can make my own by just taking getting a circuit board, putting the same resistors, etc and have the same plug layout and bam, an $8000 controller that will never be bought lol.

  3. Yeah, definitely a fake...and the price...oh well...US $5,900.00... :angry

This can't be for real, definitely. Didn't nintendo say (much to their credit) that they invented the joypad?
I believe so, either way, with game and watch and then the famicom/nes joypad.
That revolutionised gaming somewhere around the early eighties, right? There CANNOT be a prototype from an american company from the seventies based on eighties japanese design, especially since atari's machines always attempted to "bring the arcades home" and such.

Good thing the auction ended with zero bids, too. I HATE these scammers, trying to capitalyse on ignorant would be collectors.

And yes, indeed, it does look like the VCSP guy's work, though he's a bit more... um... careful, with what he builds.

A bit off this topic. ¿How many 2600 controllers did each of you go through as a kid? I think I wrecked about five of them on my 2600, and then my good'ol C64....
