I was just wondering as I had an Atari when I was very young which one I actually had. But the puzzling thing is looking at some pictures of the 2600, 5200, 7800, nothing looks like what I had... What I can tell you is that the console had a keyboard integrated or attached right on it. It had some kind of cover that opened on the top with I believe 2 slots for cartridges though I don't ever remember using the 2nd one. Also there was a 5.25" floppy disk drive that attached to this which also had games for it. The only game I know the name of is called Enchanter, a text game with some pictures and it came with some literature with a map and such. There was another game that's too strange to describe. The name Gork comes to mind but I don't know. Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what the hell I had. For cartridges I can remember we had Pac-Man (not Ms. Pacman, just Pac-Man), Joust, Qix, Missile Command, and some kind of space battle game. Any guesses? Oh yes I forgot, I had a couple games that I believe were supposed to work on the Atari as well as the IBM PC which where Double Dragon and I think Ninja Gaiden. Hopefully someone can shed alittle light on this. The system is long gone now. My dad gave it to someone he knew for their kids as we never played the thing after getting a NES.

After more searching and looking at your link there, apparently I had an Atari 800 computer. Good thing I know now, I was going to be driven insane thinking about it. ;p Looking at a picture of the Atari 800, only than it looking cleaner than I remember it's the same. And I didn't know much of anything about Atari considering I was probably 2 or 3 years old when I was playing it. And then I moved onto NES and never looked back. Ofcourse I never had a clue where the Atari went.

They sure did. Keep in mind it was about 1988 or 89, so the computer wasn't brand new or anything. It was given to us when my mom's brother who had it died I believe. All I know is it did belong to him before. Also, as it turns out, we actually owned both the Atari 400 and Atari 800. I think we had 2 floppy disk drives too. One of the reasons it went away when we got the NES was because those joysticks for it always broke and we had to buy new ones. So I guess when they broke the last time my parents just put it away in a closet. Can't say it hurt my feelings considering by that time I was playing NES games like MegaMan and Mario. I found out what the name of the disk game I remembered was called, it was Tink, Tonk, and the Buddy Bots. Had to look through what seemed like hundreds of Atari disks in some online database to find it via screenshots.
Atari PCs are a little bit before my time as well...but I've gotten into em in recent years. Lots of fun games on em...but I've found its a pain in the ass to find any decent floppy software. I have built up a decent collection of 20 or so carts though, and a couple of PCs as well. I'm really like the XEGS. It certainly has a look about it. Fun Fact: The Atari 5200 is based of the Atari 8 bit PC line. Oooh, also look into the Atari 16 bit PCs, the ST line....then look past them to their superior competitors, the Commodore Amiga line...
Based on Pac-man and how it looked at first I thought I had a 5200. The game looked virtually the same in a screenshot I'd seen. I can't say I'm "into" Atari computers, I have alot of other stuff I'd rather burn my money on first. I might look into emulating some of the games I had though.
