And the whole alchemist series. I am wondering:
    1. What are these games like?
    2. Can I get them in english?
    3. Can I play them without a knowledge of Japanese?
    4. Are they any good?
Thank you in advance for your time

They are sim games, you mix elements to make magics.

It has very nice artwork, so I can understand theinterest but a complete waste of time unless you have the basic kanji set memorized.

They are excellent games. Some in the series are more complex than others. Japanese or at least a FAQ is required to get somewhere.

The Dreamcast port is virused and crash every few hours, unfortunately :(

Well, the one I bought from Lik-sang has the viruses.

(Note to people who are in panic already : it won't harm anything unless you put the GD on your PC and execute the screensavers files)

Its only the Omake disc that has the virus.

    Right.

  9. Is there a batch without the virus? And what exactly does this virus do? How did it get put on there - was it actual malicious code, or just a nasty bug?

It's sortof creepy to think about - videogames would be a very good media for the spread of virii and such, had anyone the idea to do so.

I am pretty sure they tookback all the corrupted omake disks. The virus is only in the screensavers on the omake disk. The virus is there because the programmer creating the screensavers was running the stuff on a infected computer.
