Hello. I was playing Atari 2600 using a flash card, and I decided to play Atlantis. Once I put the game and started to play, I had the felling that was not the same game from my childhood. Just for reference, this is the official version of Atlantis: So I turned off the system and put my real Atlantis cartridge... and for my surprise, wasn't the same version. I took a picture: I tried to find something about this version at AtariAge, without success. Tried Google image too. Maybe its a clone with different name that I don't know? Maybe a bootleg version? The cart says only "Atlantis".
Looks more like the intellivision version of atlantis. I have a cart of atlantis and it looks like the normal top picture. What does your cart itself look like? Is it a standard imagic cart, or is it some kind of unofficial bootleg cart? The real cart looks like this I've crossposted about this on atariage's forum. Maybe someone there will know.
Thanks for all answers. The game is exactly the same from the video. The only difference is the colors (purple in my version is green, and orange in my version is red). This cartridge is from a Brazilian company called Star Game, and its dated Mar 85 in the back. The history here is a little bizarre, once was crime (in 1985) if you import official games, and was legal if you just pirate if you are a Brazilian company. Thanks again =)
